An Omaha man has sued his ex-wife because she, or someone acting on her behalf, placed a listening device in his daughter's
teddy bear. The plan backfired when the judge refused to admit the audio, noting that under Nebraska law at least one of the parties present must agree to the recording of a conversation. In this case no one - not even the bugged bear - gave permission. The man now puts all his daughter's toys and possessions in the microwave when she returns from visits to her mother. His theory is that the microwave will zap any recording devices she may have hidden.
