I like this story for two reasons:
(1)Emma Thompson strikes me as one of those humorless controlling women I would dislike on sight. (Nothing personal Emma, I have no doubt the feeling would be mutual and if we ever did meet it would be best if we both pretended we had something important to do elsewhere immediately).
(2) The story ends with the words Sex and Politics, which is the phrase I coined years ago as the name for the bit I do most Monday mornings with Robbie Swan. It seemed appropriate for a segment on Canberra, a city which successfully combines politics with a well ordered 'adult industry' in a fairly small geographic area.
