31 Jul 2009 - Radio daze...
  1. Kyle Sandilands has only himself to blame for the critical hammering he's been getting. Tim Blair nailed it. But what kind of mother would go along with this nastiness in the first place?
  2. Someone else who does himself no favours is John Laws with this incomprehensible ramble on the Neil Mitchell program. (Link via Samuel's Blog).
  3. Entertaining write up of the the strange case of US broadcaster Michael Savage who was put on a banned list by the Brown government to show it wasn't only Islamic terrorists and murderous skinheads who can be banned from the UK.

Many thanks for the link Mike. I was highly baffled by Laws' call, and not just for the content. How did he, as a Sydney resident, know what Mitchell was saying in Melbourne? Is he paying Media Monitors to alert him to every mention of his name?

As for Kyle...the words "publicity stunt" seem apt.

Re Michael Savage, that would have been funny in Yes Minister but is so NOT funny in an allegedly free society. Is this Equal Opportunity for inclusion on lists the government wants to avoid? I just want to know how to ppodcast him so I can hear some of his program....Pffffffffffffffffffft to the Brits!!!

What a bizarre exchange!! Not least that the host has become the caller and is so easily manipulated by the presenter. Yet another example of the "Tonsils" losing his grip. I hope it isnt due to some sort of dementia but feel it is probably related to the turkey.... Still missing your voice but get a mini fix from the ads still remaining during the hours I now listen. Hope all is well and you have found a new endeavour in life. Don't be a stranger and continue to pique our interest with these tidbits! xx

After spending all my life listening to Lawsie i have to wonder was he giving the old wild turkey and bash in the morning. I'm a big fan but even I was confused. As per glowing praise of Alan Jones?? What's doing there......
